The Career Ready Board hosted the Queens Park Community School Networking Evening for friends, parents, alumni and supporters of the school. Career Ready is a fantastic enrichment opportunity which helps directly prepare students for the world of work.
The evening kicked off with a talk from our very own Munaf Ally, Production Manager- Infrastructure who was welcomed back to the school after leaving in 2008. Speaking about the event Munaf said, “I had the pleasure of sharing my academic and work experiences with the students as they prepare for their journey into the world of work! I am passionate about the sciences, and I hope my experiences and enthusiasm in my workplace will encourage and inspire future generations into engineering.
The Assistant Head Teacher, Paul Drummond had this to say about Munaf’s contribution:
“Munaf described his time at school, the academic success he made and the friendship groups he formed, as well as the opportunities to express himself.
He spoke with clarity and passion about his working life and the students were hanging on every word especially when he recounted some of his more amusing memories of school life”
