The S&C South Alliance won the highly commended award for an 80% improvement in safety this year.
The 2018 Rail Partnership Awards were all about bringing the supply chain together and celebrating the very best of 2017’s achievements in the rail industry. Network Rail worked in partnership with Rail Media to recognise organisations that are helping to deliver a better railway for the UK. On the night of the awards in June 2018, the S&C South Alliance (Colas Rail UK, Network Rail and AECOM) proved to be one of those organisations.
The S&C South Alliance won the highly commended award for an 80% improvement in safety this year. Steve Naybour, Director of Transformation at Network Rail and part of the S&C South Alliance said, “There is a lot more to do but the weekly safety phone conferences, the boot camps, supply chain engagement and the focus on safety communications/briefs have really made a difference. The biggest drive has been from the front line teams that have really risen to the challenge. These awards are a great recognition of the hard work everyone in the S&C South Alliance has supported. As well as a milestone in setting the standard that the team now have as a base to continue their improvement journey.” We congratulate the team for this achievement.
